BLACKBURN ROVERS v. ASTON VILLA. The company at Blackburn to see the match between these clubs was estimated at only 3,000. The second half started very evenly, but at length the Rovers scored, sending the ball past Roberts, while an appeal was being made by Aston Villa for hands. Athersmith kicked a second goal for the Villa, but the Rovers again made the score equal putting the ball through out of a scrimmage, and so the game ended in a draw - 2 goals each.
