Meanwhile, Notts County draw as Bournemouth and Brighton win but Villa remain top with a game in hand over Bournemouth who are a point behind, four points clear of Brighton and seven ahead of a disappearing Notts County.
Vic Crowe's Villa make it thirteen wins in fifteen and twenty three wins, three draws and six defeats in division three so far this campaign.
