Vic Crowe's 🏴 Villa lose out to top flight side Everton in the third round of the FA Cup.
Following the criticism of the chastening defeat to second division leaders Burnley last time out, Vic Crowe 🏴 rings the changes for the FA Cup tie with first division Everton.
Midfielder Jimmy Brown 🏴 and forward Brian Little 🏴, teenagers both, shine, but Villa are beaten as the oft fallible goalkeeper Jimmy Cumbes 🏴 errs again.
Willie Anderson 🏴 25 makes his final appearance in a Villa shirt before moving on to Cardiff City for a fee of £60,000 in February 1973. Willie had played for Villa between 1966-67 and 1972-73 making 266 appearances and scoring 44 goals after arriving from Manchester United for £20,000 aged 20 in January 1967.
Forward Brian Little 🏴 suffers 🟥 defeat for the first time in a Villa shirt on his 🕒 8th appearance.
