Villa go to champions Liverpool amidst Bob Paisley's celebration send off and take the lead from the spot before Liverpool are gifted a pair of spot kicks, both of which, the original and the retake, are saved by Nigel Spink before Liverpool hit a late equaliser as Villa fall to 5th in the first division table with one to play.
Tony Barton's Villa, reigning European Champions, draw with runaway leaders and newly crowned League champions Liverpool despite a - yep, you guessed it - Anfield penalty, twice taken after they missed the first. As a result Villa make it twenty wins, five draws and sixteen losses in forty one League games this season.
