Villa cause controversy as they make changes to their XI and field a weakened team for the trip to Notts County. Ironically one of the 'weakened' team is Joe Bache, a player who would go on to be one of the greatest players of his generation.
George Ramsay's reigning champions return to League action and lose for the third time in four in their title defence.
