Villa gain swift revenge over Notts County after losing at Meadow Lane last time out to make it thirteen wins, seven draws and eleven defeats in thirty one division one games so far this season. Meanwhile, forward Horace Henshall made his final Villa appearance aged 23 before moving on to opposition side Notts County in November 1912 having scored eleven goals in fifth appearances, whilst forward Bert Goode made the last of his seven appearances for Villa aged 26 before moving on to Hull City in May 1912 for a fee of £300.
