Clem Stephenson scores for the seventeenth time in as many games but Villa lose Goalkeeper Sam Hardy to a first half injury suffered in Burnley's equalising goal and are forced to play Andy Ducat in goal until 10 minutes into the second half.

Sam Hardy returns in goal on 56' but his mobiliity is compromised alllowing Burnley to snatch a second equaliser and so Villa are held at home by Burnley to make it eleven wins, two draws and ten defeats in their twenty three division one games this season. 

Meanwhile, legendary Villa centre forward Harry Hampton played his final game aged 34 after making a total of 374 appearances and scoring 242 goals and winning the 1909-10 League title and the FA Cup in 1909-10 & 1912-13 as well as finishing League runners up on four occasions.
