Goalkeeper Albert Hinchley made his final appearance for Villa aged 22 before moving on to Cape Hill FC. Hinchley had come into the side in place of the injured Jimmy Warner and put in excellent performances over his first 9 games however a series of mistakes in the first half of his 9th game that gifted Everton a 3-0 lead and despite an improved performance in the second half and his final game, Albert would not again play for Villa.
