Everton and Villa, both struggling at the bottom of the table, play out an exhilarating game at Villa Park within the first few minutes Villa have a penalty for hands waved away but Everton break the deadlock as they beat goalkeeper Bill Johnson on his Villa debut aged 24 after joining from Buxton in January 1926.
Villa soon equalise beefore Everton luck in with two more goals before halftime to lead 1-3 against the run of play at the interval.
