๐ฅ 7 May 1932, Villa 2-3 Huddersfield, Villa Park
ON THIS DAY
Saturday, 7 May 1932
Villa lose successive games to end the season in fifth place as Billy Smithโs side break the one hundred goal barrier for the second consecutive League campaign.
Villa had however failed to hit the heights of 1930-31 as once again, in common with previous seasons under Billy Smith, Villa had experienced very low fallow periods that prevented any chance of a title challenge.
Meanwhile, winger Tommy Moore made his sole appearance for Villa aged 22 - scoring for good measure - after joining from Stourbridge in February before moving on to Bournemouth in August 1934.
