🟥 9 Nov 1935, Villa 2-3 Liverpool, Anfield
ON THIS DAY
Saturday, 9 November 1935
Villa lose a fifth consecutive League game for the first time since September 1919 as Jimmy McMullan's second season proves disastrous at they make it three wins, two draws and nine defeats in fourteen games scoring twenty three but conceding forty three.
Meanwhile, midfielder Tom Griffiths made his Villa debut aged 29 after joining from Middlesbrough earlier this month whilst winger Arthur Cunliffe made the last of his 75 appearances for Villa aged 26 during which time he scored 13 goals before moving the other way in December.
