Villa follow up their first win in ten to lose for the seventh time in eleven to make it four wins, four draws and ten defeats in eighteen games under Jimmy McMullan whilst conceding fifty two. Meanwhile, midfielder Alex Massie made his Villa debut aged 28 after joining from Hearts earlier this month for a fee of £6,000 whilst full back Norman Young made the last of his nine appearances before moving to Barnsley in July 1936.
