  • Charlie Aitken scores his first goal in six years to clinch three successive wins for Vic Crowe's Villa win for the first time since October to make it thirteen wins, two draws and five defeats in division three so far this campaign. 

  • Over their last six League games, winning five, Villa had scored 21 goals and sat third in the Division Three table, two points behind leaders Notts County. 

  • Meanwhile, Pat McMahon returned as a substitute after 26 games out with a dislocated and broken ankle suffered on the opening day of the season.

  • Villa extend their unbeaten run to five wins in six as they win for the third consecutive game.

  • After 20 games Villa sit joint third with Swansea, two points off joint leaders County and Bournemouth as the top four all win.
