Villa win a third game in succession to open up a four point lead at the top of the table after 22 of 34 games and with three games in hand over new nearest rivals Liverpool. The League table however took on a strange constitution as the Wednesday v Villa, Bolton v Villa and Burnley v Stoke had been ordered to be replayed.
