Garry Thompson makes his final appearance for Villa aged 29 before moving to Watford later this month for a fee of £350,000. Thompson played for Villa between 1986-87 and 1988-89 making 70 appearances and scoring 18 goals after signing him from Sheffield Wednesday for £450,000 in June 1986.
