Villa lose to the rebranded Small Heath and now have seven losses in their last eleven matches to make it twelve wins, three draws and nine defeats in twenty four division one games so far this season.
Meanwhile, full back Albert Evans made his final Villa appearance aged 31 before moving on to West Bromwich Albion in October 1907.
Albert played for Villa 205 times over his 9 seasons at the club winning seven major trophies including three League Championships in 1896-97, 1898-99 and 1899-00, two FA Cups in 1896-97 and 1904-05 and two Charity Shields.
Also saying goodbye was winger Billy Brawn who made his final appearance for Villa aged 27 before moving on to Middlesbrough in March 1906. Billy made 107 appearances and scored 20 goals, winning the 1904-05 FA Cup during his time with the Villa.
