Villa win for the first time in six League games to make it thirteen wins, four draws and ten defeats in twenty seven division one games so far this season. Meanwhile, midfielder Samuel Greenhalgh made his Villa debut aged 23 after joining from Bolton Wanderers in January 1906 whilst full back Walter Brown made his final appearance aged 29 having made twelve appearance for the club. Brown would move on to Plymouth Argyle in August 1906.
