🟥 3 Nov 1906, Villa 0-2 Preston, Deepdale
ON THIS DAY
Saturday, 3 November 1906
Villa's decent early season form is in danger of being completely undone as they lose a third consecutive match and suffer their fourth reverse in five. As in 1905-06 the bewildering number of personnel changes, debuts and final appearances continues to undermine form as they make it six wins, a draw and five defeats in twelve division one games so far this season.
Meanwhile, the latest new face is winger Bobby Evans who made his Villa debut aged 20 after joining from Wrexham in March 1906 for a fee of £30.
