Player #265 for Aston Villa, Arthur Reginald Dorrell, played as a winger for the club in the outside left position.
Arthur played for Villa between 1919-20 and 1929-30 season making 389 appearances.
Arthur, son of former Villa player Billy Dorrell, was born in Small Heath, just 4 miles from Villa Park, on 30th March 1896 and he made his debut appearance for Villa on the 8th September 1919 aged 23 against Derby County.
Villa had signed Arthur from Carey Hall FC in May 1919 and during his time with Villa he won the 1919-20 FA Cup (making his FA Cup debut for the club in the final), was a runner up in 1923-24 and semi-finalist in 1928-29.
Arthur proved to be a virtual ever present during his time with Villa and struck up an effective partnership on the opposite flank with Dicky York over their decade together in the Villa first team with both leaving the club for Port Vale to recreate their dynamic footballing prowess at a lower level.
Arthur played his last game for Villa on the 28th December 1929 at the age of 33 and 10 years and 3 months after his debut.
Arthur played under the George Ramsey and Billy Smith led Management Committees.
After retiring from football Arthur became a coach of the club.
Arthur passed away in Alum Rock on 13th September 1942 aged just 46.
